For one of my liberal arts classes I had to make a 'personalized' mandala as a final project, so here is my result! I learned a lot through out this and really feel like my 'voice' is starting to be consistent in my work :)

Tala & Tama : Character Design
For my Illustration class we were told to make some sort of sequential piece. Being that I don't have an interest in comics, I created a character and 3 accompanying illustrations that help describe the world and the personality of the characters.
All of these started out traditionally with colored ink pens, then I took them into photoshop to do some color and texture overlays.
I did an illustrative sculpture of the characters as well that I will update with shortly.
Another Gig Poster
A mixture of my ink assignment for Illustration media and then I took it to color and texted up form. This poster means a little bit more to me than normal because I lovelovelove all the bands playing and are friends with most of them.
Everyone should come out to this show, it's going to be a bootie shakin' good time.

Gouache Gouache Gouache
Been playing with a new medium for me, and gouache is growing to be one of my favorites. First is a bear doodle, then a tart doodle, then a final illustration for a sci-fi fantasy piece for class called 'Visitors'
Hope you enjoy :)

Advertisements?
In my Advanced Media class with collaborated with a class of Advertising Design majors to make two corresponding acrylic paintings to advertise a household cleaning product. My partner and I were assigned 'Barkeepers Friend' cleaning product - and here's my end result.
The large blank spots in the bottoms of both compositions is where the copy is going to run.
These will also be displayed along with the finished ad in one of our on campus galleries - cool beans man!

Off Subjects: Political Cartoon
Only through force (or a paycheck) will I tackle the subject matter of a political cartoon.
And that's all I have to say about that.
